Description

The Museum of History Benicia (MoHB) is pleased to announce the return of its beloved White Camel Sale, taking place Saturday and Sunday, September 5 and 6 in its historic Stone Hall. A favorite among bargain hunters and treasure seekers, the White Camel Sale is one of the Museum's largest annual fundraisers, offering shoppers the chance to discover unique finds while supporting local history. The White Camel Sale is free to attend and features a wide variety of donated items, including antiques, collectibles, household goods, décor, books, tools, artwork, toys, jewelry, seasonal items, and more. With thousands of items spread throughout the venue, many shoppers make more than one visit to browse everything on offer. To prepare for the sale, the Museum is currently accepting donations every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. now through August 28. Donations may be dropped off near the MoHB's Main Office with Volunteers at 2060 Camel Road in Benicia. The Museum is unable to accept furniture or clothing at this time. A special ticketed presale will be held on Friday, September 4, offering early access to merchandise before the public sale begins. Additional details and ticket information will be announced closer to the event. 'The White Camel Sale has become a tradition that so many people in our community look forward to each year,' said Randi Scott, Chair of Fundraising. 'It's a wonderful opportunity for residents to support the Museum, donate items they no longer need, volunteer alongside friends, and discover unexpected treasures all while helping preserve local history.' If you're interested in helping, the Museum is actively seeking volunteers to assist with donation intake, sorting and pricing merchandise, event setup, assistance during the sale, and cleanup afterward. Volunteers play a critical role in making the White Camel Sale successful, and no prior experience is necessary. Individuals interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact the Museum at info@mohbenicia.org or (707) 745-5435 for more information. Proceeds from the White Camel Sale directly supports the Museum of History Benicia's exhibits, educational programs, collections care, and ongoing preservation efforts. The Museum of History Benicia (MoHB) is open Fridays and Saturdays, 1–4 p.m., with free admission.
